Costa Rica Adventure Trip (by twocents s)

I went to a very planned out trip to CR a couple years ago with school and while I was there I saw a lot of adventre trips. It seems like it is very easy to plan out your own trip or go with a tour company that will take care of everything. I would like to do this, either plan it myself or go with a tour company but I was wondering if anyone here has been and what type of sporty things you did.

I like biking and taking to the water a lot.

i too went out at planned out trip while i was in grade 9. i remember that day clearly when our seniors planned the entire things required for that trip in proper way, there was some small problems too though. i was not involved in the management community, so i haven't experience how easy or tough it would be to plan a trip.

I personally prefer designing my own adventure tours, like a bike tour of Europe and such. It's much more rewarding, in my opinion.

I go for a self-planned trip. I want everything done my way, where I want to go and how much time I should spend. Therefore company tours isn't IN thing for me. LOL.

Plus, travel agency trips are always boring. The same touristic sights, the same old guides with monotone voices, it all spells B O R E D O M to me.

I would rather design my own trip as well. Travel agencies are looking to send you to wherever will make them the most money. Simply going and being stuck at a resort isn't that much fun.

You have to be careful in Costa Rica right now, there are a lot of political things going on. I would contact a guide there and see what the atmosphere is like.

Well, if it's dangerous, I'd avoid it alltogether. But then again, it could be pretty wild.

Going with a tour company is the best way to go for me, I mean I'm goog at planning trips but at the same time, I don't want to get involved with a situation that I know nothing about., That is the scary part of traveling to me.

But then again, where's the adventure, where's the excitement with a touring agency? If you're on your own, you'll have some good stories to share.
