Where is your favorite place to travel for an "extreme sports" trip? For me, it is the nearby mountains. There I can camp, hike, mountain bike, and even do a bit of "inner tube" rafting (the rivers here are really just streams)... What about everyone else?

I like Colorado becasue I have a base of operations to work out of. But BC is the place for biking. BC is also great for snow sports but it gets very cold at times.

Have any of you thought about Europe? There are some pretty cool hidden gems there too.
I would love to hit Europe, though I am sure I would get in some international trouble. I will have to wait till the savings account is a little bigger. The weak dollar does not help either.

Ha ha, why would you get in an international trouble? :) But yea, pitty about the dollar.

I hope to mountaineer to Everest at least once in my life time :p

Heh, that would be pretty tough, man. I don't know if I'm up to something like that.

Extreme sports for me means no less than mountain climbing. What's more thrilling other than clinging on big rocks, crossing some gushing waters, walking under rainforests? afterwhich you can feel the air up there when you reach the top.

The fresh air that you get to breathe on a peak is something you'll never find anywhere else in the world.

The favorite place for mine for some unique adventurous activities is the Banff/Lake Louise area and Calgary in late May. We can have lot of fun through whitwater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, and visiting the Athasbasca Glacier.

I've heard good things about the Glacier. Is it as cool as other people say it is?
