SUS is exploring possible contest ideas for the upcoming year and wants your input. If you have any suggestions on possible contests you think we should promote let us know. We are just looking for reasons to give away free promotional items, so talk to us.

You could create a gallery and have people upload cool photos they took on outdoor trips. Then the members vote on which they like the best and give away stuff.... same thing with Videos... could have a YouTube group and have members submit funny/crazy sporting videos.... you could have a contest that the person who refers the most people that actually sign up wins something.etc

I think you should have a T-Shirt design contest. I like your shirts, a lot, and they are really comfy but you could probably come up with some cool stuff to go with the Sack Up Sports. I have a few ideas myself. So, since I have a head start, I think it should be a Design Contest.

I think a video contest would be great, like David said. Have people send videos of their teams or their own personal outings or play. That way, you can also post them on video sites like youtube and blip.tv, thus attracting more people to your site at the same time.

A video contest, like "the craziest stunt you ever pulled".
A photo contest, like "show off photo competition"
A caption contest, where you post a picture and ask for captions for it, and the funniest wins.

Thanks for the idea. We are def going to do a video one. We have also been talking about doing one for our jersey design that will be used for the Team.

How about some creative advertising contests? Like, let's say there's an even that you guys sponsor or something, and you need flyers and such. That could be cool.

I think I am going to start the team jersey design contest in the next week. After we see how that goes we will start trying to do regular contests.

Perhaps best paint job on boards or even bikes would work. I would be careful with video contests, you wouldn't want someone doing something and getting injured and then saying he was doing it for a contest on this site. People have sued over a lot less.

Yea we will do some kind of prize for the Jersey Design. Scott is right that people do sue over anything.

I think referral contest is cool. It will make our community grows faster. I like to meet new friends in this board especially those who are sports lover like me.

How about something like, "take Lucas to the extreme" People print out a full page picture of you/company logo, then take a photo themselves on their next adventure while holding up your photo. The first x amount of people to submit their photos get a cup cozy or whatever promo merch you are giving.

What kind of numbers for the referrals do you think is realistic. We could do something like give away a snowboard.

Contest to show the craziest place to have stuck a sus sticker. send photo evidence. Used to do this while in the USMC. Would stick squadron stickers on F/A-18 on other squadron's airplanes, places it would take a while to find.
Open a door to work on the plane, and bam sticker on the part you are working on.

DONE. If you set up some guidlines then I will pop it in and set up some kind of prize.
