Teaching our kids how to ride the bike is a form of parent-kid personal interaction. Its one way of bonding with your child. Its also a means of showing how we care al ot. Think of it, you're teaching your kid the proper way and you're there for him if he happens to fall down.

You are right, it is a form of bonding with one's child. Personally I can't wait until my son is old enough to start riding a regular bike and we can go riding together. For awhile I should even be able to keep up.

I deeply regretted that I didn't have the chance to teach my kid to ride a bike.I have missed out a great way of interacting with the elder one. Now, I'll find time to teach my younger kid to ride when the time is right!

My youngest learned to ride a two wheeler at three years old! She actually had a little bike that had permanent training wheels but she convinced an older sibling to break them off so she could have a big kid bike. She taught herself how to ride it too because she was far too independent to let anyone help her. She's still that way.
