Maintenance, as in for "making sure it works" properly? Because your question seems to imply more "modding," i.e. adding something flashy or artsy. Maintaining wheels are important, but don't turn it into a "hot ride."

I think wheels, suspension, and drive train.

I think those things are a given. :) I also like to maintain the seat; I can't stand a ratty seat.

Fro me its the tires air suspension, the brakes and the chains. I make sure its always greased and well tight.
