Anyone here from the Detroit area? Where's the best places to go to bike in the Detroit Metro area (like, without burning a whole tank of gas)?

Is urban biking developed in Detroit? I mean, can you do tricks and such somewhere there?

No, not really. Detroit itself isn't a good biking place at all. "Greater Detroit" was more what I was thinking of.

I like urban biking, that's why I was asking. Why isn't it such a good place for biking?

Well, America in general is zoned for cars/commuting far more than it is for pedestrian or bike traffic. And Detroit is especially bad. Being a foot or pedal pedestrian in Detroit is frustrating.
