I really like Burton but there are also some cooler smaller brands like High Society Freeride out of Snowmass CO.

it is quite funny and suprising as well because alike everyone out here, i also go gaga on Burton when it comes to Skateboarding.

What, do they make skateboards too? I thought they were only making snowboards.

I'm going to throw another name into the mix--Salomon. I've loved my Salomon boards and have been riding them for 8 years (my 550 from 2001 is still riding strong). They are a bit on the stiff side but are great for freeride.
