Moab—For the First Timer

As I prepared to take my first trip out to Moab, I was suddenly not too psyched.  Strange.  I’d been waiting for this trip for 15 years, since I’d seen that shiny picture of red slickrock in a bike magazine back when I’d first started mountain biking.  As I sat down with my Moab pocket guide to map out some rides, however, I noticed a dire lack of singletrack among the ride depictions in the book.  Instead, I was seeing an unhealthy dose of “4 x 4 roads” and, worse yet, “gravel roads”.  This is what to expect from the unequivocal mountain biking capital of the world?  Really?

What an Extreme Sports Community Should Be!
June, 04 2008
Sack Up Sports has reached the second milestone of our development and have big plans for our future. Our new features include an online store front, which boosts over 100,000 cataloged products and specials from over 10 retailers. We are also offering travel, expanded content, videos walls, and Virtual Trail Maps. We continually update our trail maps and hope to create the most extensive resource for trail maps on the web. We are so excited about reaching new goals and are really excited about our future plans. We are busy working on phase three. It promises to offer exciting new functionality and the addition of several featured sports.
Here's the Deal! We are a site for riders and by riders. Sack Up Sports, with the assistance of some local companies, will hook riders and correspondents up with gear and clothing at huge discounts, sometimes free, in exchange for articles, reviews, user sign ups, mapping and promotional assistance. Further, Sack Up Sports will issue helmet cams and GPS units to a select number of riders and correspondents. The is sponsor program is designed to let the individual control how much help they get based on what they contribute rather than how they rank. If you are interested in finding out more Team Sack Up Sports please contact us at sponsorme@sackupsports.com or catch up with us on the mountain. See schedule for dates.
